We are proud and excited to present IQ Consulting Engineers, a fresh player in the consulting space. IQCE was founded by Jaco Vorster and Edward Louw in Cape Town 2019, and while the company is still very young it's members have over 30yrs combined engineering experience. Previously completed projects stretch from the Western Cape to Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, Angola and Malawi.
To deliver projects cleverly and at a superior quality was part of our founding vision; hence the company slogan “Ingenium Qualitas”. For us, quality is about delivering a distinctive service at a standard greater than the industry benchmark. |
The Team
Edward Louw (Director)BTech (Mechanical), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (2004)
National Diploma (Mechanical), CPUT (2000) Edward has more than 20 years’ experience in mechanical and fire engineering in South Africa and Angola. His area of expertise is primarily commercial air-conditioning systems, lifts, fire protection, water reticulation, medical gas, compressed air and includes all aspects of design and project management from initiation to final completion. Among the most prestigious projects he has been involved with include the installation of a district cooling plant at the V&A Silo precinct valued at over R50m and the Silo 5 office building valued at approximately R30m which also included a 6 star green star as built rating of the building.

Jaco Vorster (Director)MSc Eng Mechanical Engineering, University of Stellenbosch (2010)
BSc Mechanical Engineering, University of Stellenbosch (2005) Jaco is a professionally registered mechanical engineer with more than 17 years’ experience in the design and construction of mechanical systems for a variety of operations. Jaco has a particular interest in the pharmaceutical market and the engineering challenges that GMP (good manufacturing practices) pose to the industry. Jaco obtained a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering science which focused on sustainable cooling alternatives for buildings. Jaco is a passionate and enthusiastic project manager who actively keeps clients involved and informed throughout the life cycle of projects.
